Seriously.

It's been snowing for more than 24 hours now.  Can I tell you how NOT bright and cheery that feels?  What ever happened to the old "It's safe to plant after Mother's Day" rule?

And if you think Clark looks bad, well, he does.  (Yes, he does have chocolate popsicle all over his face and yes I did put him down for a nap without even wiping it off.  I'm an awesome mom.) Emma's head, which made a rather full-on connection with his cheek, is just fine.

As fas as I'm concerned that's 2 strikes for the week.  If it continues to snow all day today, that will be the third strike.  I'd like to say I'm out of here, however, where am I going to go?  I wish.

Sailing on to find spring,

  1. You've got to be kidding me!!!! Yuck! I love snow...until March or April, then I'd be ready for spring. I'm sweating in nasty, muggy heat if it makes you feel better. hang in!!! Love you.

  2. Snow. Blah. I usually don't mind inclement weather, but this year it seems like it's just hung on and on and on and on.......

And hey, I put my kids down for naps/bedtime with dirty faces frequently. I mean, is it really a big deal or just a pride thing? If they're asleep-- I say let em sleep.

  3. poor guy. I would be ticked too if we had snow like that. Luckily it's just rain 4 days of the week. :)

  4. Poor lil' guy.
As you can guess ... with this snow, I'm stuck in my driveway. So is Julia - on her last day ever of high school. I got her jeep stuck (slid down the driveway into the bumper of the van coming down the driveway). Go away snow! Although, our yard needs the moisture ... so I'm glad I'm stuck at home with my adorable 4 year old who talks my ear off and my beautiful 18 year old who is napping on the couch ... what a life. Off to tape some ceilings in the basement ... Let me know when you find Spring.

  5. spring is in VA! actually, by this time of year we are usually well on our way to summer. (which i don't love because summers are HUMID.) want to come visit us?

ps - clark's face is still super cute despite the popsicle/altercation with emma's face.

  6. Wow...and wow again for snow on May 13th! I am sorry. I wish you were here to enjoy the honeysuckle. I think of you often when I am enjoying the flowers and blooming wilds here. Poor Clarke. He is an amazing boy. I had a rotten mom day. Putting someone to nap with popsicle is minor!!!!!
