Flying Lessons

Flying Lesson 15:
Watch yourself.

For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit ofacontention is not of me, but is of the bdevil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another.

I read this scripture to my children a lot this week.  Then I noticed that I need to read it to myself.  When I feel like I'm up for a fight I need to stop and ask myself if I am listening to the right voice!  Likely not.

Flying Lesson 16:
Loss Hurts.
My Grandpa passed away on Sunday.  He lived a long and wonderful life and his body was used up.  He wanted to go.  Yet knowing all of those things doesn't make it not hurt.  He is still my Grandpa and my Mom's Father.  Losing him HURTS.  I am so happy and comforted to know that I will see him again; that he is at this very moment happily re-united with his own family members who passed before him.  Yet it still hurts.  Having our hearts ache must be good for us; it leads us to ask for help again from our Savior.  We all need help.
